All replenished Jilbabs come without front pockets

OUR STORY

Meet the founder: Tam

SARA hijabs was initially thought of in the year, 2015 when I started my Hijab journey. I struggled finding affordable hijabs that were on trend.

My mum told me not to be disheartened and that she'd help me make my own hijabs by purchasing desired material, customising the size and stitching the edges.

So we drove to our local fabric store and bought 10 shades I liked and cut them to size.

Unfortunately in the same year, my mum declined physically, being diagnosed with cancer. We never pursued the dream and three years later she passed.

Three years after the loss of my mum, I
chose to pursue what my mother and I started and I felt it was only right to name my business after her: 'SARA Hijabs'. She always reminded me that I could do anything I put my mind to, so I did exactly that. I began by introducing 10 shades that resembled the shades I chose with her.

I aim to deliver quality without compromising on cost, to be as sustainable and ethical as possible, provide colours and styles that are on trend and share my story to inspire others.

My goal is to ensure all muslim women’s needs are met when choosing to dress modestly,  I offer incentives and discounts for those who have just started to wear the hijab and my DM’s are always open to those who are thinking about it and are unsure.

On my 2 year business anniversary, I chose to re-brand and re-name the business to SARA the label. The collection has expanded from just hijabs  to jilbabs, abayas, menswear, kids wear and accessories.

I look forward to expanding further and providing quality products for all Muslims.
